Puppy Class - Open Enrollment!

Service Description

This is more than a basic puppy class where you learn obedience commands! We focus on building skills for real life and give you the knowledge you need to bond with your new puppy and live harmoniously together. Enrollment includes 6, 1 hour lessons that you can use over a 3 month period. Our unique open enrollment style format allows you to join at any time and gives you flexibility in attendance! The curriculum is taught in a unit style format where each week we focus on a specific topic. Here is an outline the class curriculum: Unit 1: Keeping your busy puppy busy! Learn about activities, enrichment and training games to help you adequately satisfy your puppy so they are content and rest when you need them to! Unit 2: Life with a puppy. Learn how to effectively set up the home to be puppy safe as well as learn how to handle those troublesome behaviors like getting into things they shouldn't! Unit 3: Going places, doing things! Learn the skills you need to take your puppy places. We will cover things like leash walking, ignoring distractions, and recalling back to you! Unit 4: Meeting people - all about greetings! Learn how to prepare your puppy for polite greetings inside and outside the home. Unit 5: Preparing your puppy for handling! Learn ways to build trust and confidence when it comes to handling for husbandry such as grooming and the veterinary care. Unit 6: Building confidence and resilience! Learn how to introduce your puppy to novel experiences and play games that build confidence, resilience and curiosity!
